The World Pool 2006 Championship has been ended and won by a Filipino 'un-seeded' player Ronato "Calamba" Alcano. Ronnie Alcano barely qualify for the World Pool finalist after losing two straight wins. After succeeding to claim the 64th qualifiers, the game favored to him very well, after winning a game over the Top seeded filipino player Efren "bata" Reyes and the 2005 World Pool champion Wu Chia Ching, Ronato Alcano continued to climb upto the finals and won. The game ended on the 28 racks, with a swift 1-9 ball combination.
