Mortal Kombat PS2 new game mode

Another new mode in the Mortal Kombat universe is Chess Kombat, which is basically an over-the-top version of classic chess combined with the strategy of many turn-based games. Confrontations are resolved through chess battles on a pre-determined field, with the loser ending up captured by the victor. It may not be as deep as other strategy games but it still proves to be pretty addictive nonetheless. If chess isn’t your cup of tea, you can always try Puzzle Kombat. Though clearly a rip-off of Capcom’s Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, the combination of super-deformed fighters and the immortal block-dropping game make an excellent diversion from the meatier modes included on the disc.
