TechCrunch on PayPerPost

"The key area of controversy is the fact that advertisers can mandate that posts be positive on the product, and disclosure of payment is optional for the blogger" by TechCrunch

I wonder what was really wrong with the blog advertising business like payperpost.com. All I can see about techcrunch's reaction is that it envy payperpost because of the company's success. So what if payperpost tied up for $3 million dollars with Inflexion Partners, Villiage Ventures and Draper Fisher Jurvetson etc., it just really mean that these big companies like what they are getting of from advertising with Payperpost.com. For me, nothing is wrong with blog advertising. It will depend to the bloggers nevertheless, no matter what they say, no matter if it's ethical or not. Anyway, sooner or later more companies like payperpost.com will soon rise and as usual it will plunge into more controversies. Who knows Digg.com will soon pay their users for digging like "Pay for Digg".
