Futkal and Hidetoshi Nakata in RP

Futkal or Street football is a project of Rock Education Philippines. Football or soccer is widely perceived as difficult to play because of the space, number of players, and gear required. Futkal hopes to change that by holding free training for kids 13 years old and below, donating gear, and simplifying the sport into a game that children can play on the streets. Rock Education Philippines is a volunteer group implementing a 10-year series of education projects using alternative tools such as music, poetry, and in this case, sport. It is part of the United Nations’ global campaign against poverty as mapped out in the millennium development goals.
